All proceeds from The BIG Event will directly support the building of the New Learning Commons, which will add 145,000 square feet of space to our campus for our students to learn and engage in.
Who Participates in the Auction?
The entire SI community—including current and past parents, students and alumni, faculty and staff—join in support of the auction. There are many different ways to be a part of this tremendous effort. (See How Can I Participate?)
How Can I Particpate in the Big Event?
1. ATTEND - Attend the auction and have some fun!
2. DONATE - Donate an auction item—or cash!
3. COMPANY MATCH - check with your company to see if they match.
4. VOLUNTEER- Volunteer your time and talent.
5. BID ONLINE - It's a great way for anyone unable to attend the auction to still participate in our effort. We have wonderful auction items just a click away. On-line bidding will open in mid February.
Can we use a Donor Advised Fund to Underwrite the Big Event?
Yes- NOTE- Donor Advised Funds do not allow for ANY purchase of tickets and we will be required to collect the balance due.
For instance, if a sponsorship is $10,000, you get 2 tickets at $300 each. The full cost to attend, in this example $600, has to be paid outside of your DAF (not just the tax deductible amount). So you would need to pay $600 cash and could request a $9,400 grant from your DAF.
We can not issue refunds on any portion of a DAF check, the overpayment will be a donation.
Who participates in the Senior Show portion of The BIG Event?
SI's Seniors are featured in the actual show, but the entire SI community -- including current and past parents, grandparents, alumni and faculty & staff -- join in support of this great event.
What is the Senior Show?
Formerly known as the Ignatian Guild Fashion Show, the Senior Show portion of The BIG Event will be a celebration of the Class of 2026!
Are seats assigned?
Yes, you will receive your seating assignment at check-in on the day of the event.
How can I get better seats?
Since this is a fundraiser, we offer better seats for those that Underwrite the event and new this year we have individual preferred seating available for an added cost.
How many seats are at each table?
Twelve (12)
I bought a VIP seating ticket but my friends bought general seating tickets, can we sit together?
Unfortunately not, we will be seating whole tables at each level due to the event floor plan and viewing angles.
